Photography for Change
Photography for Change was a one-year participatory photography project in Exeter that explored the themes of personal change, changes in your community and future change.
This project was mainly aimed at people in & around Exeter who have lived experience of mental health problems, social isolation and other social challenges, but it was also open to residence across Exeter and the surrounding areas.
We developed and facilitated four separate programmes, with each programme lasting 10-week and each weekly workshop session comprising of 3 hours.

Each free 10-week photography programme enabled participants to create their own photo-story or photographic theme and build a portfolio of images. In addition, all participants had the opportunity to take part in the following activities:
This project culminated with a photographic exhibition of participants work at the AWEsome Art Space in Exeter. This exhibition was curated by a team of participants from this project and a selection of the exhibited images can be seen by clicking on the picture below.
