Job Title: Part Time Administrator for Chasing the Light & Walking with Cameras Project

Salary: £9.00 p/h

Hours of work: Minimum 8 hours p/w

Contract: 16 months - May 2022 - September 2023

Location: Exeter

Meridian Raw CIC is a social enterprise that helps to bring about social change and advocacy through creative participatory photography projects, inspiring photowalks and photography projects.  We use photography as an empowerment tool for marginalised communities, socially excluded individuals and for the wider community.
 

Since our inception in 2013 we have worked with over 350 participants, facilitated over 250 participatory photography workshops and held 8 photography exhibitions of participants works.  We have created a great platform for our work and have secured a number of funding grants over the past five years.

These projects have cemented our reputation within the local community for delivering interactive and stimulating activities and for help those in the community who have experienced mental health problems, social isolation or challenged by health or social circumstances. About the role:

This role is part of the Chasing the Light & Walking with Cameras project that is based in Exeter and began in October 2019 and has been funded by The National Lottery Community Fund.  This project will work with participants who have experienced or are experiencing mental health problems, people who are socially isolated and those in the community who are disadvantaged, vulnerable or suffering from some other social problems. 

 

We are looking for a highly motivated individual with excellent communication and people skills to join this project.  Our office is based in Exeter and you will be work closely with the project coordinator and be responsible for the following:

  • Office administration e.g. paperwork, filing, photo-calls

  • Organising and booking venues

  • Updating project timeline

  • Liaising with partners, evaluators and stakeholders

  • Writing and scheduling social media content

  • Editing and update the Meridian Raw CIC website

 

The successful candidate will need to have good organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage several tasks at once and keep yourself motivated to perform to meet deadlines.  To be successful in this role, you will have excellent communication skills and this role requires regular use of IT packages, therefore a good standard of IT and a knowledge of social media and website editing would be desirable.
