Information That We Collect
In running our photography programmes, workshops or photo-walks and maintaining our website, we may collect and process the following data about you:
Information about your use of our site including details of your visits such as pages viewed and the resources that you access. Such information includes traffic data, location data and other communication data.
Information provided voluntarily by you. For example, when you register for information or make a purchase.
Information that you provide when you communicate with us by any means.
Information that you provide when you sign up for a workshop, courses, photo-walk or attend an exhibition to allow us to contact you.

We use the information that we collect from you to provide our services to you. In addition to this we may use the information for one or more of the following purposes:
To provide information to you, that you request, from us relating to our products or services.
To provide information to you relating to other workshops, courses, photo-walks, exhibitions or products. Any workshops, courses, photo-walks, exhibitions or products that may be of interest to you. Such additional information will only be provided where you have consented to receive such information.
To inform you of any changes to our website, workshops, courses, photo-walks, exhibitions or products
If you have previously attended a course or purchased an item from us, we may provide you details of similar workshops, courses, photo-walks, exhibitions or products, that you may be interested in.
We never give or sell your details to third parties for marketing purposes.
When is personal information used?
We usually ask for individuals basic contact information, when signing up for a photography programmes, workshops or photo-walk or exhibition
-Name (alias is also accepted)
This is for the sole reason to contact you, if any of the details of the workshop, course, photo-walk or exhibition change and we need to get in touch. Additionally, when you join a workshop, we will always ask how you would prefer to be contacted (phone, text, WhatsApp, Facebook or email).
You are also given a form to confirm your consent with how your images are used & accredited and any photos that you may have modelled for. This information is only used to identify your personal preferences for Meridian Raw CIC to adhere to these said preferences
Where are my pictures shown?
Meridian Raw CIC like to use participants images as much as possible as we feel it demonstrates the positiveness of participatory photography and to inspire others.
The below gives a list to where a participant's image may be used
Photo sharing platforms
At a public exhibition (usually at the end of a project)
Advertising for future workshops, courses, photo-walks, exhibitions
Can I opt out?
Absolutely, if you do not wish for your images to be shown at public events, online, Meridian Raw CIC adverts, photo sharing platforms or on social media.
If joining a photography programme: At your first workshop session, one of the forms that are given out is called ‘copyright and model release form’ this gives you the option to consent/not-consent. You may be happy for your images to be shared, but not want to use your full/real name. Meridian Raw CIC can use an alternative supplied by you (as long as it does not use disrespectful language). This can also be chosen on the ‘copyright and model release form’
If you do change your mind mid or post-course you can, of course email firstname.lastname@example.org. Lastly, remember it is only an option, whether you wish to share your images with us, you do not have to submit them to us, to share.
Similarly like the images participants have taken, the same policy applies to a participants own face/body being used in images. On the initial workshop, when the forms are distributed, there is an option to not give permission on the ‘copyright and model release form’
Storing Your Personal Data
In operating our website, it may become necessary to transfer data that we collect from you to locations outside of the European Union for processing and storing. By providing your personal data to us, you agree to this transfer, storing and processing. We do our utmost to ensure that all reasonable steps are taken to make sure that your data is stored securely.
Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password which enables you to access certain parts of our site, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We ask you not to share your password with anyone. Although we will do our best to protect your personal data, unfortunately the sending of information via the internet is not totally secure and on occasion such information can be intercepted.
We cannot guarantee the security of data that you choose to send us electronically, sending such information is entirely at your own risk. Once we have received your information, we will use strict procedures and security features to try to prevent unauthorised access.
We do not store our customer’s financial details.
